Collins Lake has been a longtime favorite for generations of Northern California campers. Famous for big bass, trophy trout and monstrous ice cream cones, the recreation area is nestled in the Sierra Nevada Gold Country foothills, approximately an hour and a half northeast of Sacramento. Situated at an elevation of 1,200 feet Collins Lake is below the snow line yet also above the valley fog line allowing it to be open year round and deliver a well-rounded camping experience with modern conveniences in a natural setting.

The lake has a surface area spanning 1,600 acres and 12 miles of shoreline, this scenic recreation area is best known for its lakefront RV camping, fishing, and summer watersports.

The lake has weekly trout plants from October thru May every year making it a top spot for anglers seeking rainbow or golden trout. In addition to trout the lake has robust populations of largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, redear, and channel catfish, ensuring a plentiful supply of fish for anglers throughout the year!

Boat rental fleet includes 2-Story Patio boats with slides, Pontoon Fishing Boats, 14' Fishing Boats, Kayaks, and Paddleboards.

Visitors can enjoy various amenities, including RV hookups, boat launches, marina, boat rentals, sandy swimming beach, playground, and picnic areas. On site hot showers, laundry facilities, and WiFi ensure guest comfort during your stay. Collins Lake also offers cabin rentals and group campsites, making it a great destination for families and group outings.
